TPM speakers warn of bumpy 2022

The TPM22 conference in Long Beach had roughly 200 speakers and 3,000 attendees. Many of the speakers suggested that although full year US import growth may have peaked in 2021, the supply chain issues may not be letting up. Port of LB achieves busiest February on record

Ongoing efforts to expedite transfer of long-waiting cargo off the docks lifted the Port of Long Beach to its busiest February on record.

Dockworkers and terminal operators moved 796,560 twenty-foot-equivalent units of container cargo in February, up 3.2% from the same month last year. Additionally, imports increased 4.4% to 390,335 TEUs, while exports declined 1.2% to 117,935 TEUs. Lastly, empty containers moved through the Port were up 3.5% to 288,290 TEUs.
